1930 American electric produced at the start of the Great Depression by Chicago clock maker, Lanshire Clock.

🟠 We bought this clock at Goodwill for $2.80.
🟠 It definitely showed 90+ years of life and required extensive restoration including a "broken leg".
🟠 Amazingly the electric motor was still working and only needed oil. The movement consists of plastic gears that somehow lasted over 90 years.
🟠 A signature of this era is the faux inlay triangles on the front of the case.
🟠 It is very satisfying to rescue a clock that has weathered so much and see the gears turn for the first time since I got it. ▶ Watch it (:25)
🟠 I even found an era correct twisted cloth electrical cord and plug.
🟠 For now it sits on a shelf in the dining room.
